Crazy-Awesome Motorcycle Adventure II (CAMA-II) was a terrific bucket-list adventure. I recall specifics of our ride often.

A Smile for Chuck On Top of the World

My beloved husband Chuck made me smile often. He said that when I smiled, I radiated warmth and affection for all with whom I shared my smile. He would encourage me, even during dark times, to “shrug it off and smile for me.”

That was really hard to do, especially during this time one year ago when his recovery from surgery was so rough and he was irritable, cranky, and feeling badly.

Hard Return Soothed with Empathy

One might think that my recent motorcycle adventure would take my mind off grieving Chuck’s death. It did (mostly) while on the ride. My buddy Steve was great, understanding, and supportive when I had some periods of emotions.

Day 9: Riding Two Parks

Chuck’s spirit animal said hello to me

As our crazy-awesome motorcycle adventure reaches its penultimate day, we woke in Cannonville, Utah, to a quite cool (to start) morning.

During my dawn meditation, I got into my “zen zone” which calms me immensely. On recovery, I was thinking of how happy my beloved husband Chuck would be about what I am doing to fulfill my dreams that I thought I may not be able (physically) or have courage enough to do.
